H‘ng Hsieh Zhen

Zhen is primarily involved in our mergers and acquisitions, corporate commercial, employment and real estate practice.
Zhen brings with her a wealth of experience, having practised in one of the largest law firms in Malaysia before transferring to the firm’s Vietnam office, where she spent four years as a registered foreign lawyer. She advised domestic and multinational clients on complex corporate and commercial transactions across diverse sectors, including education, manufacturing, healthcare, FMCG, real estate, telecommunications, waste treatment and renewable energy. Her broad industry experience allows her to provide well-rounded legal insights and tailored solutions to clients across various markets.
Most recently, Zhen served at a Hong Kong-based private investment firm, where she led the legal and compliance team, and was part of the deal team structuring investments into tech start-ups. Her strategic expertise in this space is invaluable to our start-ups and venture capital and regulatory compliance practice.
Fluent in Mandarin, Zhen has also been working closely with our extensive Chinese-speaking clientele and further strengthen our China desk practice.

  • Advised a reproductive health service provider and its related companies on their day-to-day legal matters including preparation of commercial and business agreements, implementation of share grant plans, and advising on data privacy and employment matters.
  • Advised Daito Asia Development on the acquisition of Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

  • Advised CNBM, a China-based EPC contractor in relation to a USD50 million turnkey 50MW solar power plant project.
  • Advised a China based retailer and variety store chain that specializes in household and consumer with more than 1800 stores on its corporate matters.
